This Ivora-Gouda high glaze inkstand was produced by Plateelfabriek Ivora, which was created by Ivon vander Want in 1914 to replace the centuries old pipe manufacturer P. Van der Want Co. This inkwell has a striking Art Nouveau inspired design with stylized flower blossoms hand painted on an ivory background. The piece is marked Ivora-Gouda Holland and production number 288/2.
