A large English sterling silver inkwell by Mappin & Webb Ltd with English silver hallmarks for London, 1901. This inkwell was made to commemorate the Royal Coronation of King Edward VII. It has an unusual shape with a recessed hinged lid and is decorated with an embossed Arabic camel scene. On the side is the Royal Crest of the King with the year date 1902. Inside is the original removable glass liner.
