Inkstand Presented to Rev. Chubb

This silverplated double inkstand was dedicated to a reverend. The inscription reads: “Presented to the Revd M. Chubb by the Young People of the Grantham Wesleyan Connexion as a token of their esteem. Aug 25, 1866”.

Each stemmed, cut-glass inkwell with silver cover fits into a recess on the base. Between the inkwells is a storage compartment covered by a tall candleholder. The hallmarked base has bead and lattice trim and four feet.
