This inkstand is designed to resemble a revolver. The revolver’s cylinder, which typically holds bullets, is hinged and can be opened to reveal a compartment intended for an inkwell (though the inkwell insert is missing). Additionally, the front part of the wooden grip slides open, providing a small storage space.
