This Henriot Quimper inkstand features two inkwells, each with an orange knobbed lid, positioned on either side of a central lidded storage area. The inkstand is adorned with intricate hand-painted designs, including vibrant floral motifs in yellow, blue, and pink hues.
Depicted are a Breton man and woman in traditional attire, set against a charming landscape background. The man is wearing a hat, and the woman has a distinctive headdress, reflecting the regional dress of Brittany. The piece also includes decorative elements like scalloped edges and a shield-shaped emblem at the top center. The inkstand is signed and bears an early mark dating back to 1895.
