This inkstand, made of white metal with a brass finish, features intricate designs reminiscent of Gothic architecture, particularly Gothic cathedrals. The detailed patterns and embellishments, such as pointed arches and foliage motifs, align with the Gothic style’s characteristic elements. The marking “JB 2426” indicates it was produced by Jennings Brothers, with the production number 2426. Jennings Brothers, based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, operated from around 1890 to the 1950s.
