Anson Golf Club Captains Prize sterling inkstand. The Anson Golf Club was founded in Manchester, England in 1893, and in just the club’s third year of existence, this inkwell was a golf trophy. The inscription around the base of the stand reads: “Anson Golf Club, Captains Prize 1895 H. Liebert.” The base stands on three golf ball shaped feet. Three golf clubs are propped against a golf ball (the inkwell).
