Ornate and substantial 19th-century French bronze footed inkstand in the neoclassical style. Features include two griffins on either side, Medusa’s face between two lidded inkwells, and a floral design on the pen tray. Below an arched center back with a laurel wreath in the center are three intricate panels depicting the arts: a seated artist with canvas; a seamstress; a sculptor.
