Inkwell, candle holder, match safe and pocket watch holder – all on the same piece. An 18th century French Revolutionary man is standing on a figural cobblestone street with a chest, urn, and drum on the ground around him. He is holding a banded agate bead with a hook on the bottom for his pocket watch in his left hand and in his other hand is a removable bronze rod tobacco pipe packer with a matching agate bead. The man’s hat is hinged covering a place for matchsticks and the drum opens using a “thumb press” to reveal an inkwell. The figures are mounted using handmade nuts and screws.
