French inkstand with ormolu mounts and hand painted flowers. The bronze/ormolu embossed top of the stand has a hinged lid covering the inkwell (missing insert) and receptacles for a sealer and pens. It is marked “France” on the bottom. There is a maker’s mark, but it is faded.

Sold for $57 in April 2024
