This French faience pottery inkwell features an oval shape with an inkwell flanked by two pen holes. The inkwell is adorned with traditional faience decoration, showcasing hand-painted motifs in blue / green. The body of the inkwell displays a large, stylized depiction of a bird in flight on one side, a goose on the other, surrounded by decorative elements such as dots and floral patterns. The rim and the lid are also encircled with painted blue dots.
