This French faience inkstand has an oval-shaped tray in front, decorated with intricate blue and white patterns. The two square wells for ink have lids with matching colors and a similar pattern. In the front, there is a date in Roman numerals MCMXXVII (1927), presumed to be the date the inkstand was made. There is an unidentified mark – a diamond-shaped cartouche with an “N” inside.
