This French faience double inkstand marked Veuve Perrin is adorned with intricate scrollwork and a baluster railing. The lids of the inkwells are topped with snake finials (inserts missing). The inkstand rests on five lion’s paw feet. There is a pull-out drawer for storage. The inkstand features hand-painted genre scenes, with a central scene depicting a courting couple holding hands.
