This French faience inkstand has a rectangular base adorned with hand-painted pastoral scenes. The predominant colors are yellow, orange, and gold. The bronze cover contains two inkwells with hinged lids, each topped with a decorative finial. In the center, there’s a candleholder, which is surrounded by two pen holes and a hole for a wax seal. The handles on each side of the inkstand have an ornate twisted design.
