This is a classically styled French inkstand made from a combination of marble and bronze.

    • Materials: The base of the inkstand is a shaped slab of dark green marble, richly veined with lighter tones. The decorative elements and the inkwell casing are made of bronze. The marble base is elaborately shaped with a sinuous, undulating outline and stands on four ornate, scrolled feet, also of bronze.
    • Inkwell: A single bronze inkwell is centrally positioned on the marble base. The inkwell is cylindrical and features a band of classical-style relief ornamentation around its body. Its hinged lid is also ornately cast and has a finial.
    • Pen Channel: Integrated into the design, positioned in front of the inkwell, is an elongated pen channel. featuring a repeating lattice or pierced design along its surface.
