A double inkstand in the form of a fisherman and his boat is cast in solid bronze. The inkwells (missing here – would have been square-shaped) are stored under the seats. A hinged lidded box served to hold writing paraphernalia. The coil of rope is a removable wax seal with the initial “P”. Signed on the underside “CH. Leblanc, Paris”.
