This bronze inkwell is crafted in the form of a jester’s bust, complete with a detailed jester cap with a bell and a ruffled collar. The bearded face is expressive, capturing a mischievous smile, and the eyes are finely detailed. The peak of the cap is hinged and opens to access the inkwell. The round base is made of stone – perhaps slate.
