This Felix the Cat novelty inkwell has a mechanical feature – when the lever on the bottom right is moved all the way to the left, his eyes open revealing two glass insert inkwells. Moving the lever back & forth creates the illusion of a winking Felix. The piece is made of hard, flat celluloid. The ears are grooved, creating a place to hold a pen. On the underside is a label showing “Made in Japan” with a company trademark of a bat with wings spread.
