The top half of this case iron ink bottle holder screws off, allowing one to place an ink bottle inside. The top of the bottle protrudes, providing access to the ink once the bottle’s stopper is removed. There are two indentations at the top designed to hold a pen. The bottom of the holder is embossed with “F. WEBER & CO. ST. LOUIS 5720”. F. Weber & Co. was established in 1853 and was active well into the 20th century.
