This English writing box, adorned with decorative brass, is crafted from burr walnut. It features two inkwells and has a pen channel. At the back, there is a stationery holder with a rounded, hinged lid. Beneath the main compartment is a pull-out storage drawer, which is covered with a tooled leather writing surface. A push-button mechanism allows the writing surface slide out, providing access to the inside of the drawer. The piece is labeled “Cormack Brothers – Makers – 87 Ludgate Hill – London.”
