This English oak writing box features a brass hoop handle at the top. The box is adorned with ornate brass mounts that have a floral motif. On either side of the handle, there are two clear glass inkwells with rounded hinged lids. The front of the box includes a pull-out storage drawer with a brass pull, shaped like two leaves and a central knob. The inkstand has horseshoe-shaped pen holders that curve upwards, designed to cradle pens or quills.
