Enameled and Gilt Bronze Inkstand

Measuring 7” wide; 4 ½” high

This oval-shaped inkstand in mounted porcelain is attributed to Maison Giroux and features polychrome enamel decoration enhanced with gold and raised “jewels”. A gilt bronze frame with acanthus leaves twists and connects the inkwell to the base. A pen holder is attached to the base. “G” for Giroux is impressed on one of the feet.

Sold for $475 in November 2023
