Detailed footed crystal inkwell on a silver plate base. Made circa 1890 by Elkington Silver Co., Birmingham, England – established in 1830 and known for their quality work. A frosted cut glass inkwell rests on a neo-classical embossed battle scene displaying men, women, and horses. Some of the copper under the silverplate is visible. The piece is hallmarked on the bottom.
