A pump inkwell is an hydraulic pump that displaces ink from the main reservoir to a lateral font, into which a pen can be dipped. This inkstand is unusual in that it has two pump reservoirs. The plunger knobs are marked: “Atr. Boquet Proprieté – Encrier Pompe – Mouvement Spherique”.
