This double inkstand features two cylindrical inkwells with “roll-back” dome covers that are spring-loaded. When you push on the cover’s tab, the lid smoothly recedes back into the inkwell, using the tab as a stop plate. Conversely, pulling on the tab activates the spring mechanism, allowing the cover to glide back into its closed position. On the sides, there are knobs that control the mechanism to change the displayed date. Additionally, a pen holder is situated in the front. The base of the inkstand is crafted from wood and is adorned with brass trim.
