This French double inkstand features an integrated clock. It’s crafted from cast spelter with a gilt finish.

  • Double Inkwells: The inkstand features two symmetrical inkwells, each with a clear glass inkwell and a domed metal lid topped with a decorative finial.
  • Central Clock: A circular clock face is centrally positioned above the inkwells, housed within an ornate frame. The clock face displays Arabic numerals and a simple pair of hands.
  • Ornate Design: The inkstand is elaborately decorated with foliate and floral motifs, including grape leaves and vines, reflecting the popular aesthetic of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
  • Markings: The bottom of the inkstand is marked with “AF” and “268”.
