Double Inkstand with Cherubs and Heart-Shaped Clock
- Structure: The inkstand features a central heart-shaped clock flanked by two winged cherubs.
- Clock: The wind-up clock faintly marked Seth Thomas, active from 1813 onward, with peak production in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
- Inkwells: The two white milk glass inkwells have ribbed swirl designs and floral motifs. Their bases are embossed “Anchor S.P.”, identifying them as products of the Anchor Specialty Products Company, a U.S. manufacturer active in the 1920s–1940s, known for decorative pressed glass and novelty desk items.
- Material: The base and clock housing are made of cast metal with a bronze finish, featuring elaborate scrollwork, floral accents, and elevated legs. The finish mimics ormolu but is likely a patinated brass or spelter alloy.
