This double inkstand features a green marble base adorned with gilt brass details. At the center stands a bust of Emperor Napoleon, placed on a raised marble pedestal. The marble base is supported by four claw feet. The front façade is embellished with an applied palmettes motif. Flanking the bust are two inkwells, each topped with a small eagle figure. The back of the bust bears a signature: “C. de Franoz”. François-Charles de Franoz was a French artist born in 1850 and died in 1908.
