Early and signed Makkum blue & white hand painted Dutch Delftware inkstand. The inkstand is decorated on all sides with different Dutch scenes, and is hand signed on the base with the name of the factory Makkum.

The Makkum factory in the Netherlands is believed to be the oldest Delft pottery in Holland founded in 1572. In the 20th century they gained royal approval, changing the name to Royal Tichelaar Makkum.

Sold for $200 in August 2023
