Figural sled styled base for the pressed glass cube style inkwell measuring just over 1.25 inches all sides. Quadruple silver-plate with a small, covered compartment for either spare nibs or stamps. The Mount Washington Glass Company’s owners established the Pairpoint Manufacturing Co in 1880 to produce ornate silver-plated mounts for Mt. Washington glass. Both companies eventually became one, the Pairpoint Corporation in 1900.
Purchased in 1990 for $130.
