This is a heavy, cut-glass double inkwell.
| Form/Base | This one-piece rectangular inkwell, slanted at the corners, has two wells. |
| Material | Heavy, cut glass. |
| Inkwells | Both vessels are made of clear crystal. |
| Lids | Multi-Faceted, Cut-Glass Lids. The lids are the most distinctive feature. They are cut into multiple polished facets (like a gem or jewel) to reflect light. Each lid is attached to the glass body via a brass hinge. |
| Lid Colors | One Clear, One Cobalt Blue. One lid is clear cut glass, and the other is a rich, contrasting cobalt blue cut glass. This intentional difference is functional and decorative, marking the contents of each well (e.g., black ink and blue ink). |
| Fittings | Brass Hinges. Brass fittings hold the hinged lids to the body. |
