This cut glass and silver inkwell with a hinged and removable pocket watch top was produced by Mappin & Webb, Birmingham, England in 1906. The beehive shaped body is cut into block-faceted panels with sloped shoulders. Three sets of triple horizontal cuts circle the body. The watch face features Arabic numerals and fine hour and minute hands that are either polished brass, copper, or gilded metal. The inkwell’s neck and removable bezel are hallmarked for Birmingham and Mappin & Webb. It is also stamped with the Registry (Rd) number 476070, dating production to 1906.
