This inkstand depicts a cherub holding a letter, while perched on a fence. Attached to the inkstand are two candleholders (useful, given there was no electricity) which can swivel out from the curved fence. The brass fence posts are individually made and can be pulled out. A pressed glass inkwell in a hobnail pattern is held in the center. In the front is a pen holder.
