This copper inkwell was crafted by Alb. Lindstrom, a Swedish company based in Eskilstuna, a city known for its rich metalworking heritage. Alb. Lindstrom, active in the early 1900s, was renowned for producing high-quality silverplate and other metal goods, demonstrating their expertise in metal craftsmanship.
The inkwell features a spherical body, constructed from seamed copper, resting on three spherical feet. Its simple yet sculptural design, combined with the warm glow of the copper, makes it a visually appealing piece. A hinged lid on the top provides access to the ink reservoir within.
The underside of the inkwell bears the maker’s mark, “ALB. LINDSTROM ESKILSTUNA”.
