A cartoonish young swami wearing a turban with a feather and holding a bouquet of flowers. There is a pen hole in the top of his turban. Molded onto the back edge of the base are the numbers 6058. The piece is marked “Germany” on the underside.
This inkwell is one of a series – cartoonish characters with bulbous bottoms and lift off top to reveal the ink pot. The head (top) has a hole to hold a pen. All were made in Germany.
