Reaumur Scale
The Reaumur scale was introduced by the French naturalist René Antoine Ferchault de Réaumur in 1730. In the scale, water freezes at 0 degrees and boils at 80 degrees. It was primarily used in Europe, especially in France, Germany, and Russia, from the early 18th century until the mid-19th century.
