This cobalt blue glass inkwell is housed within a single, round brass holder.

  • The Holder: The holder is a round brass piece with a flat base. Its most prominent feature is the detailed decorative band that runs around the entire circumference. This band features an ornate, repeating pattern. The pattern can be described as a braided or stylized garland of alternating circular and floral-like motifs, possibly small palmettes.
  • The Glass Inkwell: The inkwell is made of thick cobalt blue glass. The round body fits into the brass holder. The top of the inkwell has an eight-faceted design narrowing to its hinged brass lid.
