A Chinese lidded inkwell, made from green jade and sterling silver, features foo dog handles. Impressed signature to the underside: Edward I. Farmer, New York”. Edward I. Farmer (1872 – 1942), an antique dealer and collector of Chinese jades and porcelains, operated an art gallery in New York, NY.
