This hand carved wooden inkstand features a base intricately carved to resemble books and sheet music scattered about. One can even see the top feathers of a quill. Atop this base rests a blue glass inkwell adorned with delicate white enameling. Carved into the wood is “Chicago Souvenir 1893,” suggesting it may have been crafted or sold during the World’s Columbian Exposition held in Chicago that year.
