French Louis XV style doré bronze inkstand surmounted by a patinated cherub (putti) holding a trident atop a dolphin. The dolphin’s mouth opens to access the ink. On the underside of the inkstand, there is a twist off lid to access a glass holder for the ink. The shell-shaped base of the inkstand is adorned with stylized foliage.
