A double inkstand with a wood base with black edges, bun feet, and two pen channels. It holds two cut, beveled glass inkwells with hinged, faceted cut lids, and brass mounts. In the center is a cherub, holding the reins as he rides a dolphin. In mythology, dolphins were messengers for the gods.
