Buyer Be Aware – Wong Lee Porcelain Inkstand
Wong Lee International Company of Hong Kong, specifically Wong Lee Productions Co., was founded in 1995 and has been exporting since around 1999. There is a maker’s mark on the underside of the inkstand. “WL” stands for Wong Lee and the “1895” date commemorates the end of the war between Japan and China. This inkstand is not antique or old and it is not a reproduction. The company makes ceramic pieces styled after antique ones.
