Buyer Be Aware! Bronze Mounted Porcelain Inkwell
I never bought this piece (though I was tempted) thanks to an article in the Society of Inkwell Collectors’ publication The Stained Finger.
“Those who enjoy Art Nouveau may be attracted to this inkwell, on sale by various sellers on German eBay. It is an attractive combination of brass (or bronze) and ceramic. The design is in the German Jugendstil style and really catches the eye. Some sellers say it is a new item, some do not. It is new, even though the mark shows “Anno 1906”.
As I write this, I notice a seller on Etsy has this inkwell on sale – 25% off. It can be yours for $264.29. But you’d better hurry! The sale ends December 10th and there are only two left in stock.
