Buyer Be Aware! Art Nouveau Lady Bronze and Porcelain Inkwell
The seller listed this inkstand as follows:
“Exquisite antique Art Nouveau lady bronze and porcelain Inkwell This is a very elegant and decorative Art Nouveau inkwell in excellent condition. It features a woman standing on a pedestal vainly gazing at her reflection in the mirror. The base has intricate carvings of flowers and vines with hand painted porcelain ink wells standing on either side. The inkwells are in great condition and have the original covers. This is an exquisite piece that would look great on any desk”.
The seller states in the listing, “We’ve been selling antiques for over 20 years. We have one of the largest collections of antiques in the tri-state area.”
The seller apparently knows what sells – this piece sold for $420.75 on eBay.
Sadly, this is a modern-production piece.
