Egyptian style inkstand with the bust of Cleopatra. She wears a vulture crown – a headdress in the shape of a vulture draped over her head, with its wings hanging down on the side. The head is hinged and opens to access the inkwell. The saucer base is decorated with sphinxes face to face interspersed with circles.
