A Second Empire inkstand elaborated from bronze with gilt and patinated finishes. Designed in Neoclassical style: a darker orb inkwell, standing on an Athenian tripod on top of a pedestal. The inkwell’s hinged cover has a pinecone shaped gilt finial. Napoleon III period, France.
