This style was particularly popular in France during the mid-to-late 18th century, aligning with the reign of Louis XV and the Rococo period, which is known for its elaborate and decorative art and architecture. The Chinoiserie scene of a village is depicted on a leather base and is consistent with French decorative arts of the time. The stand has two inkwells and a sander.
