Material Aluminum

Manufacturer Undetermined
Origin England
Date or Era circa 1930
Measuring 4 ½” diameter; 2 ¾” high

This inkwell has a circular base with a dome-shaped cover. The lid is inscribed with “British Aluminum Company LD, 109 Queen Victoria Street London” around the perimeter. At the center of the lid, there’s an intertwined logo featuring a large “A” with “B” and “Co” on either side, and “Ltd” below the “A”.

The roll-back dome cover is spring-loaded, allowing it to easily recede back into the inkwell when you push on the tab. The tab acts as a stop plate and pulling on it allows the cover to glide back into its closed position. The inkwell is made of aluminum, of course!

Estimated value: $50
