This late 18th century brass standish was probably made in England for the American market. The caster-type standish with a handle holds four cylindrical brass vessels with removeable lids – two inkwells, a sander, and a quill holder – that fit into the scalloped base. Attached is a candle holder and a bell holder with its original bell.
