This brass inkwell features a triangular base with an elongated front that serves as a pen tray. The intricate floral designs along the edges and on the lid suggest it is from the Art Nouveau period. The lid swivels open and closed using a peg and hole mechanism, and the inkwell is numbered 4653 on its underside.
